‘Tis the season to start planning and making those gift cards, tags and handcrafted goodies. With all the new tools & techniques for the upcoming season, there’s really no reason why this year shouldn’t be another year of ‘specially handmade for you’ gifts and more to impress your loved ones. Read on to find out about what’s new and in-store at Papier this festive season.

With greeting rub-ons from Making Memories and Pebbles Inc., making those greetings has never been easier. If you’re a stamper, check out our latest and hottest Christmas/Winter stamps from Hot Off The Press, Hero Arts and more. This year, the collector’s designer acrylic stamps are a truly must have! If you’ve never picked up an acrylic stamp before, come by Papier and try stamping with one. You will fall head over heels with these beautiful, easy to maintain and store collector’s must haves!

We’ve also included a gift idea section to give you a head-start planning your gift list now, or if you’d like to pass it along to your friend or loved ones as your very own ‘wish list’. Learn to make a 6x6 album complete with layouts and photos ready to give away as a meaningful gift or personalise as keepsakes. Paint It! (scrapbooking)

Get creative with acrylic paints, foam stamps and more. During the class you will complete a 12x12 layout and learn to make these paints work for you!

Ever wondered about how a certain scrapbooking tool worked? Or have you already purchased a certain tool and don’t quite know how to use it to reach its maximum effect? The ‘Tool of the Month’ section will highlight various scrapbooking tools with a step-by-step tutorial complete with pics to help you use your tool to create fantastic projects and layouts.

EK Success – Circle Scissor

The EK Success Circle Scissor is just what you need for cutting circles. Cutting circles has never been easier with this easy to maneuver and no-fuss tool. The EK Success Circle Scissor is able to cut and draw circles from 1.0” to 6.0”, has a non-slip grip and is so easy to handle. If you are worried about replacement blades, they are available too! This tool is available in hot pink and is also best used with glass mat (EK Glass Mat). The EK Success Circle Scissor also caters to both right and left-handed scrappers.

Step-by-Step

1. Place a piece of patterned paper/cardstock on top of the EK Glass Mat

2. Adjust the circle size that you want

3. Turn the handle clockwise until it comes full circle

4. Lift the EK Success Circle Scissor and remove the circle of patterned paper /cardstock

5. Repeat if you desire to cut more circles
