Introducing Sharm...

I'm Sharm from Sunny Malaysia..the weather's been rather down so it's not really sunny that often these day *lol* :) I'm a SAHM to a very mischievous one yr old bratty lil gal that I love loads and a wonderfully supportive hubby .. ;)

I love all things handmade & indulge in a variety of handmade hobbies that include card making, scrapping and jewelry making. I truly believe that a handmade gift is beautiful to receive as it is to make. It is also a poignant way to express a thought that comes straight from the heart. Though my time is fully occupied with my lil princess, I make time to indulge in this hobby that I find to be extremely therapeutic after a busy day with her.

I'm also a self-confessed hoarder! *lol* I can't walk out of a scrapbooking supplies store empty handed!

Welcome to the Papier design team, Sharm!!

Introducing Rosa...

Hi, I am Rosa from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am a SAHM and a mother of 2 children aged 14 & 11. I started scrapbooking in 2007 and am totally hooked. I love making mini albums, altered arts, canvas, layouts, cards and mixed media. I’m a stamper at heart and can never get enough of it.

I love my Slice, and that’s the reason why my work is mostly embellished using Slice. Apart from Slice, I also use Big Shot, dies from Cuttlebug, Spellbinder and Pazzles in my creations. To me, scrapbooking is a way for me to channel any negative energy into something positive, and a good way to distress. In other words, it’s my ‘me-time’. Doing housework, cooking, driving here and there, dealing with 2 growing up kids, is a whole lot of job in itself! I love everything about scrapping – what’s not to love?

Rosa is also a MM Slice instructor or simply known the "Queen of Slice" at Papier. If you would like to know more bout MM Slice or to attend her classes, please give Papier a call.

Rosa will be also hosting "Monday Coffee with Rosa" starting next week. This is to encourage scrapbookers or cardmakers to get together every Monday to learn from each other or simply just to scrap together. More info, please call us at 03-7725 4815.

Welcome to the Papier Design Team, Rosa!

Introducing...

Hello, my name is Amelia Khalik. I live in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. I’m a mother to two active kids. I started scrapping back in Dec 2009. Quite a newcomer to the scrapbook circle, I love to try everything. I have no particular style but some associated my work as ‘shabby chic’ and ‘grunge’. I love misting, layering, embossing and Inks!! My object of scrapping is always my two kids and of course my husband.

I dream to have my own scrapbook store one day. Where there is no limit and boundaries to create. To be able to do it all day long!! That would be bliss. Sometime a fast scrapper, my record to date is 30 minutes for a layout but most of the time I take time enjoying the moment. I enjoyed doing altered projects as much as a layout. My favourite colour is always Pink and I'm known to be using it more than often.

I would like to thank Papier, namely Macy and residence DT Jessy Christopher for giving me an opportunity to be in the design team together with other talented DT's.

Welcome to the Papier Design Team, Amelia!!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of our recent challenges, Great Escape Challenge , Yin and the BCA Pink Card Challenge, Agnes and Evelin. Seems like I've been missing out on a lot of fun.
Well, thanks to Jessy for keeping things abreast especially on the product updates and happy that she's found her mojo too (don't you just like her recent postings?). In fact, I'm a little jealous as she's already had the chance to play with the new Crate Paper collections while I haven't even gotten my hands on any. And then there's also more new collections (Jessy will be posting very very soon), which again I have yet to get my hands on (all for a very good reason).
I can't wait to get back in action and get my hands on those brand new papers & tools arriving in-store while I'm away especially the Christmas Collections by Making Memories, Crate Papers and more featuring very cool papers & embellishments, brand new Martha Stewart punches (yes, finally), Fiskars & EK punches, Tote ally new totes and brand new albums, papers & embellishmenst from K & Co. You have to check it out for yourselves.
Here's the reason why I've been away. Our little bundle of joy arrived about 3 weeks ago. So it's been a whole lot of nursing, nappy changing and not to mention (lack of sleep) and my desperate attempts at getting catnaps in between. Anyway, its the whole battle of trying to set a new routine and adapting to one of life's greatest changes and at the end of every exhausting day, to find that its been all worth the while when we see her smile ( and sound asleep) :o)
Oh! Yes, I have been clicking away with the camera too.. .after all, I'm a scrapbooker too.. :o)
Introducing our new little bundle of joy... baby Enyi
another reason to celebrate LIFE! Meanwhile, happy crafting & see you all very soon!

Btw, do look out for some exciting holiday workshop/classes, promotions and announcements soon!

With love, Macy

And to all other fellow Malaysians, have a jolly good break and for those returning to their hometowns, have a safe journey and see you at Papier again soon! Also, do check back for more exciting updates.

May the year of the Ox bring to us joy, peace, good health, prosperity and endless creativity!

Suyi & Daddy

Inspired by our theme colour for the night (black, white and pink), I thought I'd try working on the currently super popular sheers mini album. It took me a while as I didn't quite know where to begin. I had some newly printed photos (which I was dying to scrapbook) but I was limisted to a 3” x 8” space.

However after much deliberation, I finally managed to sort through the entire stack of photos, and decided that it was going to be "Suyi & Daddy" (as usual, mummy's hardly in any of the photos because she's always the camera-woman).

Now once I got started on my project, I got carried away and finally after 3 nights of scrapping all through the wee hours of the night, I finally managed to complete my album. I would love to share this with anyone who's interested in creating a very easy scrapbook project (once you set your mind to it). I love it and hope you will too.

So come along and join us for Papier Club Members Party Nite and bring along one of your favourite creations to share with the other scrappers. If you could, create your own special nametag and exchange it with another scrapper, you will also get to share another idea and make a new friend at the same time ~ It's a great time to bond with other scrappers.

So see you all at the party!

Love, Macy
