Altered Frame, A Card & A Rak :)

Hi there everyone!! I am here to show you how I did an altered frame using the Making Memories Love Struck Collection.

Present to you my simple altered frame tutorial ...

For this project, I recycled one of my frame. Trying to go green *wink*

Next, get a beautiful lace and paste it on the bottom of the frame.

This playing card look-a-like is from one of the MM Love Struck papers called Foiled Card.
I randomly cut a piece out & paste it on the left side of the frame.

Get a chipboard swirl, dab it with any kind of ink. I used the Color Box.
Another option is you can paint it.

Adhere it on top of the playing card.

Then paste the MM Love Struck Rosettes on the chipboard swirl. You might want to adhere some foam dots / zots to secure the sides of the rosettes.

You need 3 different kinds of flowers & a brad to make a self-assembled flower.

This is how it will look like. You can opt for a button if you do not have any suitable brads.

Paste the flower next to the rosettes. Next, paste the MM Love Struck peach polka-dot trim next to the flower. I tucked the trim under the flower for a more natural look.

I cut one of the Hambly birdcage to further embellish my frame.

And of course this MM Love Struck Word Fetti is awesome to be used on the frame. Perfect to use on altered project, layout and of course cards :)

Ta daa!! Here's the completed frame.

Here's a matching card I made using the balance of the MM Love Struck Foiled Paper. And again, those numbers on the card does not have any special meaning, it's random :)

For this card, I used a different lace and added some more pretty Prima flowers.
For the background, I did some misting and stamping :)

Alright, you must be wondering what is the RAK gotta do with all this right??
We are giving away a RAK of some Making Memories Love Struck goodies.

Here are the 3 simple steps to win a RAK...
1. You have to create an altered frame, using the tutorial above as a guide. We would love to see lovey-dovey theme.

2. Email us or post a link at this post by February 28, 2010.

3. This is open to anyone who resides in Malaysia.

We will pick the best altered frame and will announce the winner on the March 2, 2010.

So get your frames and start creating now for that special someone!! Can't wait to see what you are coming up with :) Thanks for dropping by and I hope you like the simple tutorial by yours truly.

Making Memories : Love Struck Collection

Hello everyone!! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, lots of chillaxin :) I am back, as promised to show you the 2 layouts I created.

I cut the back of the packaging to get the title for the layout. Just love how MM utilizes the whole packaging. Brilliant!!

Here's the second layout I created. Loving the background heart paper & it is glittery!! I have also used my all time fav, heart doily with the ribbon ruffles I made. Well I just stapled the ribbon as I fold.

For more close-up & details on the two layouts, pls click HERE :)

There you go! Be back by tomorrow to check out a card & a simple altered project tutorial. Something easy and meaningful to give to the special someone in your life this V-day. Thanks for dropping by :)
