'Growing Up Together' LO by Rosa

Hello Crafters! How's your 2011 so far? I've been very busy with the kids & schooling matters. To my fellow crafters, very sorry for not being able to leave some luv at your blog, will try to do it soon.

Dunno about you, but I always avoid busy pp, especially the ones with big patterns / designs on it. However, for this month I've got the Jenni Bowlin pp in my kit and one of it is with big flowers. This is what I did.

This month is all about keeping it simple. Yup, am trying my best to keep it simple and clean, although am itching to stamp here and there.

I used plain cs as the base, cut out the big flowers from the pp and paste it to the corners. The wordings is cut out from the Slice Design Card.

Stamp 'Photo Facts' onto a plain cs and ink it with distress ink.

Add stickles to some part of the flowers & wordings. I stamped a lil bit around the flowers using versamark.

Till then, happy crafting! Oh, don't forget to check out the new arrivals at Papier. Yummy stamps and papers!

Slice Design Card : Word & expressions -Family.

Materials used: Jenni Bowlin pp, Plain cs, KaiserCraft Clear stamps, Ice Stickles, Distress Ink.

'Making Memories' Layout by Amelia Khalik

Happy monday all. I hope the week will start beautifully for you. Another monday posting by moi. This time it's all about me and making memories! lol. Have you been in a situation where you're running out of ideas for your layout title? That happens to me many times. On certain days i wish i could just leave it blank! lol and then an idea came. I was staring at the Making Memories packaging and decided to name my layout just that! Hahaha. Yup on certain days i feel like a genius..lol.

Okay let's get on with this layout, a bit of scrappy info. I think Webster Pages Pattern Paper is so versatile. Use it any way you want and the result will not dissapoint. Since i had a busy background i decided to stamp using the bubble wrap randomly on the page with red distress ink. Again i re-used the Prima packaging on the back of the photo. Kraft paper doilies makes great embellishment.

On your next project try to recycle some of the packaging. Dont throw it yet, it might come handy one of these days..:).

Material list, Webster Pages Pattern Paper, Making Memories Gems & Brads, Prima Swirls, Kraft Paper Doilies, Prima Packaging, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Distress Ink and Bubble Wrap for Stamping.

Cutie Layout

Happy Happy New Year dearies!!! :) It's been a fab year for me so far (lol..though there are many more months to come) and I hope it's been the same for you! :) I'm a simple gurl with simple needs (though scrapbooking supplies are nothing close to that hehe) and thus very simple resolutions were made as well..:) Those hard to keep ones are better not made rite? :0)

Anyhoo..here's a layout for Papier and this round I'm using Cosmo Cricket for the background! The colours are cheery and fun so it's comes as no surprise that I scrapped my gurl's pic yet again ;)

The rest of the embellies are basically fussy cutting of My Little Shoebox Patterned Papers & Cosmo Cricket too. There's also a sheet of Vintage music notes and cut out Graphic 45 Patterned Paper as well as American Crafts Thickers and a wee bit of stitching.

'Wonderful Nature' by Rosa

Hello again! Its been so long since my last post. I've been so busy! Sighhh, I so need a break! Today is 11111 @ 11 Jan 2011. Happy New Year to everyone, hope it's not too late.

For this month I've got the Jenni Bowlin pp in my kit to play with. This is my take. I wanna keep it simple. I used TH Distress Ink to create the colour mixture for the borders.

Stamp and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

The wordings is cut out from the Slice Design Card.

I used plain chipboard to cut out the bird (TH Caged Bird dies) then I embossed it with Zing embossing powder.

Tip: If you don't want your LO to look so plain, try mixing the Distress Ink.

Slice Design Card : Paper Reverie & Vintage Findings.

Materials used: Jenni Bowlin pp, Plain cs, Prima Clear stamps (Timbres Transparents), TH Caged Bird dies, Ice Stickles, chipboard, Distress Ink, Clear Embossing powder, LePlume marker, Prima Rhinestones, Zing Embossing powder (Aqua).

'Sweet For My Sweet' Layout By Amelia Khalik

Hello 2011!!! Hello everyone. I hope it's not too late to wish you Happy New Year! Let me start 2011 with a sweet layout of my kids. I'm sure everyone loves Webster Pages, moi included and i squirm with delight to have it in my Jan kit. The papers are fab and i just need to enhanced my layout with a bit of cutting from another piece of Pattern paper.

Another great way to get a 3D effects on my page is by using dies. You can see i'm using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies and the Sizzix dies for the flowers and butterflies. I've said this before but i'm gonna say it again..Prima packaging is awesome! lol. Can you spot them in my lo? The AC Thickers is a left over from my Dec kit and finally i slap on a generous amount of crackle paint on the edges of the paper.

Material lists, Webster Pages 'Sprinkles' and 'Sugar Plum Tree' Pattern Paper, Prima Packaging, TH Dies Tattered Floral, Sizzix Dies Roll Flowers, Distress Ink, Making Memories Gems & Brads and AC Thickers.

DT Challenge - Announcing the Winner

DEC Creative DT Challenge

Voters RAKs

Dec Creative DT Prize

If you have missed out the last few posts, last December we held a DT Challenge, basically just to add a 'lil fun to the usual DT submissions. The 3 DT's, Amelia, Rosa & Sharm had to create projects based on the given DT kit (+ approx 10% of own materials) to create pre-determined projects over 4 weeks. Week 1 (LO), Week 2 (card), Week 3 (Altered Project) and Week 4 (Photocube box). Blog readers as well as in-store shoppers were asked to vote for their projects over the 4 weeks and votes were totalled up 31st December 2010.

The idea of the challenge really is for allowing the DT's to show their creative best, and for our blog readers as well as in-store shoppers to also participate and give us their views as to why & what appeals to different individuals. Art as it is, is really no right or wrong nor better or worse but simply a judgement and preference of individuals. Having this challenge simply makes it a little bit more exciting, both for our DTs and for the voters as at the end of the day, there is a goal to achieve, which is DEC Creative DT Prize as seen above.

Thank you to the DTs for being so supportive & so willingly participate in the activity and to the voters for their votes through emails, blog comments as well as in-store votes.

NOW, announcing the winner of the DEC Creative DT Prize ....

**drum roll & applause**

Ms Amelia Khalik
(total of 48 votes)
