Papier's Christmas Charity

Hey everyone!! This is one of the exciting news we would like to share with you. We decided to do a Christmas Charity drive for the 17 unprivileged children at the Abacco Estate.

A little info about Abacco Estate:

Abacco Estate is situated at Beranang. It has around 8 families living in it. The condition of their houses are not too pleasant and the path is rocky. Most families living there survive by working as a rubber- tapper. At times, these children need to help their parents. During raining season like this, they will not be able to go to the estate & this will lessen their earnings. A couple of children had to drop out from school due to parents are unable to support the school fees.

A 200 sq feet community hall was been built to provide education ie: tuition for the children. They were also guided in their school work.

Sis Eva and her team have been faithfully entering into the estate to teach these children. A number of them have improved and able to read better throughout the 6 years she spent with these children.

Oh please bear in mind that it is impossible to update everything here because there are way too many new arrivals and also collections. LOL! First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of our recent challenges, Great Escape Challenge , Yin and the BCA Pink Card Challenge, Agnes and Evelin. Seems like I've been missing out on a lot of fun.

Well, thanks to Jessy for keeping things abreast especially on the product updates and happy that she's found her mojo too (don't you just like her recent postings?). In fact, I'm a little jealous as she's already had the chance to play with the new Crate Paper collections while I haven't even gotten my hands on any. And then there's also more new collections (Jessy will be posting very very soon), which again I have yet to get my hands on (all for a very good reason).

I can't wait to get back in action and get my hands on those brand new papers & tools arriving in-store while I'm away especially the Christmas Collections by Making Memories, Crate Papers and more featuring very cool papers & embellishments, brand new Martha Stewart punches (yes, finally), Fiskars & EK punches, Tote ally new totes and brand new albums, papers & embellishmenst from K & Co. You have to check it out for yourselves.

Here's the reason why I've been away. Our little bundle of joy arrived about 3 weeks ago. So it's been a whole lot of nursing, nappy changing and not to mention (lack of sleep) and my desperate attempts at getting catnaps in between. Anyway, its the whole battle of trying to set a new routine and adapting to one of life's greatest changes and at the end of every exhausting day, to find that its been all worth the while when we see her smile ( and sound asleep) :o)

Oh! Yes, I have been clicking away with the camera too.. .after all, I'm a scrapbooker too.. :o)
