Hola crafters! For Papier's DT project this week, I altered a wooden wall frame. Its a simple, straight forward project. This is what I created.

I cover the wooden wall frame with gesso, then I apply Tim Holtz Crackle Paint, put it aside to dry.

I did some stamping and masking onto the background pp. I stamped the designs onto a plain cs, cut it out and adhere it with foam dots.

I embossed the bird with Zing embossing powder, stamped the bird cage with TH script stamp, added some pearls to it and finish it off with my handmade bloom.

Hope you like it. Till then, have a nice day and happy crafting sweeties!

Altered Photo Frame by AK

My final project for Apr is this Altered Frame. After 3 layouts i did not have much left in my kit and the truth is i'm not really good with card making! lol. So you see i'm normal after all, just like any other crafter except perhaps i am too crazy that i scrap everyday. Back to this entry, i decided to make a smaller project that dont require much papers and embellishment.

I found this small frame at Daiso for RM5 of course. Basically i covered the white frame with pattern papers and i did stamping with a script stamp, add ice stickles, lace and embellish with my last two piece of prima flowers and brads. With the remaining papers i fussy cut the flowers, add photo and alpha.

A simple and fast project to do. Dont throw away your bits and pieces, you'll never know you might used it again someday. Bye for now i'll see you next month.

'Never Say Never' LO by Rosa

Today, I'm sharing with you another LO that I did with the DT kit from Papier. Again its a simple LO that I created. I must say, my DT kit this month is quite challenging for me, as there's no pp that I can fussy cut. (Yup, am still in that fussy cut & layering phase). Been bitten by the bug! Hahaha...

Oh oh... Few more days to go to Justin Bieber's Concert! I'll be going with my two kids. Gonna have a Bieberific time! That explains the title for this LO, Never Say Never. LOL...

Let's move on to the LO I did with my DT kit this month. This is what I created... I apply gesso all around the plain cs, then I apply Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint (Clear Rock Candy) on it, heat it with a heatgun and swipe some distress ink onto it.

I used the negative from the Stars Design that I cut out for my 'Cheeky Boy' LO few weeks back. Waste not any papers!

I stamped the bg randomly with Hero Arts Starburst Lace stamp. Apply the rub-ons onto transparency, cut it out and use foam dots to give it a raised effect.

I used the Cuttlebug Quilled Rose/Carnation Kit Dies to create the quilled flower. Its easy to do.

Its simple right? Till then, have a nice day and happy crafting sweeties! Oh, I can't wait for the Justin Bieber's concert this Thursday! Bieberific time! Never Say Never!

Materials used: Pink Paislee pp, Plain cs, Bazzill cs strips, Jennibowlin button chipboard, Distress Ink, Tim Holtz Frame Dies, Pink Paislee Element Stickers, Prima swirl with white lace, Sassafras Lass rub-ons, Basic Grey Curio pp.

Dies: Tim Holtz Tag & Bookplate dies, Cuttlebug Quilled Rose/Carnation Kit.

Ranger Distress Stain

Happy Tuesday,

Here's what arrived yesterday. Unforunately, there's been some shipment hiccups and only one of the cartons came in from Ranger but I'm too excited to wait so I have to let you know that these new stains came in. Check them out in-store.
Have an artful week ahead!

Story Layout By AK

Happy monday!!! I'm glad i am so much better this week after weeks of coughing. I'm here to share another layout that i did with my dt kit. I have a confession...i hardly journal on my lo. That's about to change here! lol. I decided to do a long story of my girl and my hope and dreams of her. I figure i dont want to stick to only a certain ways of scrapping and would love to try everything out there.

I hope you like this little changes that i'm going through in my scrapping phase and style. This piece is straight forward by nature. My main concern apart from highlighting my photos is the journalling. Dont be afraid to try and get out of your comfort zone. If previously you always play with paint and embossing, why not try something clean and simple or perhaps if you've always been a fussy cut scrapper, try the rest for a change. That's what i like to do besides, scrapping is a hobby and i like to have fun and enjoy the process.

Stay positive always and you'll be amazed at the outcome. Okay too long a ramble? Material lists as follows.

Pattern Papers: Pebbles Inc Happy Go Lucky, Tickled Pink & Delightful
Flowers: Prima
Stamp: Unity Stamp Our Life Story
Embellishment: Pink Paislee Artisan Element, Ribbon
Medium: Alcohol Ink, Ice Stickles, Glossy Accents, Versafine Ink.

'To-do' Book for Papier

I'm sure many of us have trouble keeping track of the things we need to do for the day, or maybe even for the week! I know I do *lol*..especially in the craft scene where there are so many awesome challenge blogs to be participating in! So, using the store kit this month, I made lil a 'Things To Do Today' book! I simply photocopied a list template that I found at home (lucky me *lol*), cut out a piece of cardboard to the measurement of 5x8 and embellished it with the cutesy embellishments and patterend paper from the kit! It's very easy to make and I'm sure you'll find yourselves organized in no time! :) Here's the project I'd like to share with you sweeties! :)
Materials Used : Echo Park Patterened Papers, Ek Success Border Punch, Prima Ribbons, Bazzill Basics Kraft Borders, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Prima Flower, Binder Rings, Lace

'Sweetie' LO by Rosa

Hey you sweeties! I'm back with another LO for Papier. I'm loving the Pink Paislee pp. The colours are simply gorgeous. You can get the pp from Papier and check out the new arrivals. Its yummylicious!

This is what I did for this week.

My handmade blooms cut-out using Slice and I added Jenni Bowlin chipboard button in the center. The Bazzil cs strips makes it a lot easier to add that little extra touch, I glue it to the side of the photo. To glam it up, I used the Prima swirl with white lace.

The Prima lace is so cute. Luv the colour! I tuck it underneath the pp. Again, I'm using the packaging, I cut-out the design from it.

Very easy and simple to do. Hope you give it a try. Till then, have a nice day and happy crafting sweeties!

Materials used: Pink Paislee pp, Bazzill cs strips, Jennibowlin button chipboard, Prima swirl with white lace, Pink Paislee Element Stickers, Prima lace, Sassafras Lass rub-ons, Button.

Slice Design Card: Wedding.
