This month of December....

Hi all,

Sorry if you've been looking forward to DT postings this week and were a lil disappointed. There are no DT postings this week as the gals have been given an exciting endeavour for Dec. It is the DT challenge. The 3 DTs, Amelia, Rosa & Shamu have been given materials as below, as well as a list of other tools/supplies which they will be (as usual) working their magic on for the DT challenge coming December. Therefore, there will be slight changes to the postings next month.

There will be 3 project postings every Monday (starting 6th Dec), of the projects and the tutorials to follow from Tuesday of the week onwards.

Here's what we NEED YOU to do... to vote for your favourite project(s) every week on the blog or in-store (votes from the blog & in-store are calculated 50:50). The DT with the most votes will win the prize of a scrapbook hamper worth more than RM300! With your wonderful support and encouragement, I believe the DTs will continue to inspire us with their beautiful creations and wonderful ideas.

This will also be the last blog activity for the year 2010, and we look forward to an exciting 2011.

Happy challenging to all our DTs!

Just a lil note. Thank you to our blog reader, Sarah for her comment. And we've decided to throw in a little extra for voters. Two (2) lucky voters who voted for the winning DT will be chosen to win a little RAK for their support. :o) Hurry, cast your votes now, and do send in details with your email, comments or in-store votes so we can contact you upon winning. :o)

Treat Box & Cards with Stitching

Parties are no fun when there are no treats! right? especially when your party's got lots of cute little kiddos :) For Papier's DT project this week, (and to head start my Christmas goodies prep *lol*) I made this lil treat box so the little ones will have cute little take home gifts (apart from the other pressies from the secret santa do *hehe*)

So here's pics of the treat box..I'm also leaving you with a close-up pic of the ribbon..I simply folded in half, cut across it & ruffled it a lil to get the shabby effect.

Emeline's Workshop

Hellooo,
Some pics from Emeline's workshop as promised. It was definitely a weekend well spent, especially since I managed to squeeze myself into one of the sessions. We managed to huff & puff (as we were trying to achieve much in such limited time), cut, paste, paint, ink and tuck our way through the sessions with much fun & laughter. And alas, a sense of achievement when the projects were completed, each with as much vigour as the creator but most of all, I think we all enjoyed the sessions thoroughly. Again, I would like to express our appreciation to Emeline for coming to KL, especially for the 2 sessions at Papier, our team at Papier for getting things organized and all the participants for being there to make it a success and enjoyable event.

Enjoy the pics... :o)

Altered Cereal Box by Rosa

Stop! Don't throw away the cereal box! Recycle it. Today, I'm sharing with you my altered cereal box project using my beloved Slice. I created a mini album.

I used plain c/s to create this mini album, a lot of stamping and inking added.

- To make the base, select a shape from the Noteworthy Slice Design Card (size 4in) and cut out the cereal box.

- Use the same shape and size, cut out the c/s and paste it onto the base (cereal box cutouts).

For the cover of this mini album, I used Studio Essentials Slice Design Card (size 3in) and cut out the middle section to create a window. As you can see, a lot of stamping and inking going on here.

Me, I am a...
The alphabet m & e is from the Applique Basics Slice Design Card (size 1.5in).

Daughter. "Think BIG thoughts but relish small pleasures. -H.Jackson Brown Jr."

Sister. "We are always the same age inside. -Gertrude Stein."

Wife. "Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction. -Antoine de Saint."

Mother. "Flowers have the sun, children have their mothers."

Give it a try, make one for yourself and do share it with me. Happy scrapping!
