A Layout & A Card

Hello peeps!! I am back to show you a layout and a card I created.

I {heart} the American Crafts - Heat Wave papers because of the sunny and cheery colors. Perfect for beach themed :)

Close-up shots:

I also used Core'dinations cardstock as my background. What I did was I folded it into 6 parts and ran thru it with a Big Shot. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder called Swiss Dots. I sanded the cardstock to get the red to appear. You can do lots of different techniques on this piece of Core'dinations - tear, sand, emboss and of course love it!!

I wanted to create a sandy look to my layout, I painted the edges with crackle paint and also I stamped the background using bubble wrap (my fav)!

Below is a card I created using Core'dination cardstock and also tiny bits of Bella Blvd Paper & also American Crafts - Heat Wave paper. To make it fun, I misted a doily and it looked pretty :)

Hope that you like the creations!
Please check back on July 1st for an exciting post!

Art Camp 2010 & Vintage Bride Class

During the June school holidays, Teacher Jessy conducted 2 sessions for Art Camp 2010. The children had so much making the projects using the colourful Sassafrass Lass papers. We were also glad to see returning students and also new ones as well. Here are some pictures of the 2 days session.

Day 1 :
The children created a very cute pop-up mini album & adorable favour clips.

Day 2 :
They created a beautiful door hanger and also a stunning family banner :)

Just right after the Art Camp, I had a seriously fun-session with these ladies creating vintage layout. This was also the last "Vintage Bride" class simply because we're out of the beautiful MM Vintage Findings collection. Look out for new vintage class soon :)

I always enjoy teaching and I am glad that everyone went back with beautiful creations. Do hope to meet more new scrapbookers, cardmakers and children too in my future classes. Thank you for all your continuous support to Papier. See you around!

Happy Father's Day!

Papier has brought in a new collection by Bella Blvd called "Man of The House". Just in time for Father's Day. Well, you still have time to make something special for the special man in your life :)

Scrappy info you might want to know how I created the layout below:

Materials used:
Billboards Man of The House Collection Paper by Bella Blvd
Bits of Bella Man of The House Paper by Bella Blvd
Distinguished Man of The House Paper by Bella Blvd
Gesso / White acrylic paint
Bubble Wrap
Corrugated Board
Maya Road sheer tag
American Crafts Vinyl Thickers
Ranger Distress Ink
Ranger blending tool
Glue Tape
Pop/Foam dots

1. Firstly, paint the bubble wrap with gesso and randomly stamp all over the background Distinguished paper and also some on the Billboards paper. Leave it to dry.

2. Once the paint is dry, you can create a subtle look on the white by applying Ranger Distress Ink. Use a blending tool to blend.

3. Once done, distress the corrugated board with Ranger Distress Ink. And stick it under the Billboards paper.

4. When you have already paste the corrugated board and billboards paper down, cut strip words from the Bits of Bella paper and arrange them on the Maya Road sheer tag. You can create dimension to the strip words by using pop dots in alternate order.

5. Instead of arranging the alpha flat to the paper, you can slightly stack them up on each other to create an interesting look and of course to create a little dimension.

6. Lastly, decorate the layout with little bits of pieces that you can cut from Bits of Bella paper.

I hope you like the layout I created for my father in conjunction of Father's Day. Do drop by the store to grab this awesome masculine collection by Bella Blvd.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!!
