My Fav Hijab Layout

My Sept dt kit is fill with amazing papers from American Crafts Garden Cafe Collection. What can i say i had a field day fussy cut!!! lol. It's so addictive and i did pile on a lil too much for this layout! Hahaha. I think my pics is immersed in a garden of blooms.

Apart from that i heart the mustard seed distress ink. Just look at the edges of my layout i had fun playing with it and had to stop myself from going overboard too! This piece is layered with papers, corrugated board, chipboard and buttons.

Finally i would like to take this opportunity to wish all the muslim crafters 'Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri', drive safely and have fun. :)

Material lists: Pink Cardstock, AC Pattern Papers Garden Cafe Collection in Poppy's Pub & Sunflower Deli, Mists, Distress Ink in Fired Brick & Mustard Seed, Buttons,Transparencies, Glitter, Distress Crackle Paint in Rock Candy, Glossy Accents and Chipboard Embellishment.

Salam Eid - Gate Card

With Hari Raya in less than a week's time, here's a lil something to share with you'll to kick start your card making frenzy! :) It's a gate card meaning to say it opens up like a gate.

Using the Basic Grey Olivia collection, I think it's a wonderful collection for Raya cards. I have also used ruffled paper ribbon and Basic Grey Olivia Collection Die Cut Stickers. The sentiment is made using foam thickers.

You can also choose to insert some photos onto the pages of the card.

Materials Used: Ivory Cardstock, Baic Grey Olivia Collection Patterned Paper and Die Cut Stickers, Flowers. Ruffled Paper Lace

Hari Raya Card

Hari Raya is just around the corner and i think it is appropriate to share a simple raya card that i did using my August dt kit. The size of this card is 5'x6'. The front cover is adorned with lace and i fussy cut the flowers from BG Hello Luscious pattern paper. Add buttons and twine. The word 'Salam Lebaran' is printed from a Dymo label maker and glued to a pattern paper.

Have you peeps get started on your card yet? It is still not too late. Drop by Papier for your supply, plenty of new arrivals in the store. Take care and i'll see you soon.

From Small Beginnings by Jaz Lee

Hello crafters,

Selamat Berpuasa to our Muslim friends!

For some of us, its probably that time of the year, going through the mad rush for our festive preparations, and most if not a majority of us out there, still trying to strike a balance between must-dos & wanna dos in our daily hums. And amidst that buzz, If and when you can, do stop & (smell the roses) take a little craft break, give your heart & soul a little boost and soak in some inspiration if not just CREATE!

Here's a mini I definitely had to share. A beautiful layered album with pockets, tags and journal spaces for me to document & preserve my new baby's precious milestones. And yes, this came as a beautiful gift for my new bb designed and specially made by Jaz herself. Oh! And there's a surprise compartment in the album too. There's really too much to describe here so just for the sake of sharing, I'm leaving the mini at the store till mid-Aug for your viewing. After that it'll be home for keeps.

Please, may I ask that you handle it with absolute care :o)

Teeny Tiny Stickers on Card

Using the Basic Grey Olivia collection, this layered was put together. Cut out a cardstock to a 4x6 measurement, followed by a 3.8x5.8 piece of patterned paper.

Cut out a smaller patterned paper and punch the edges. Next layer with the die cut stickers. Once done, instead of using a sentiment stamp, try teeny tiny alpha stcikers. Put them together to form a sentiment. It'll be nice for a change ;)

Materials Used : Ivory Cardstock, Basic Grey Patterned Paper & Die cut stickers, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Cosmo Cricket Teeny Tiny Alphas.

Lastly i stamped random image, add Photos, Handmade flowers, Transparencies, Lace and Paper borders. I did the swirl using liquid Pearl.

August Guest Artist - Jaz Lee

Hello folks,

I'm so excited and honoured to introduce our Guest Artist for the month of August. Many of you may already have seen or been inspired by her works like I have, and been wanting to see more. Well, here's the beautiful Jaz Lee who shares with us some of her absolutely fabulous creations for the month of August. Be inspired!

Hi everyone,

I am Jaz Lee from Singapore. I am a SAHM with 3 precious crazy adorable kiddos. They are my source of inspirations most of the time.

I have been scrapping for 4 years now and loving every moment of it. My work, I will say, I don't have one definite style. I love vintage chic and if I have to describe my style, I would describe it as a "beautiful mess". I like to clutter the page up with papers and embellishments into one organized piece. And I always think it is exhilarating to have the freedom to greet each piece of work as a challenge, to think up new ideas and be as creative as possible.

I have been designing and teaching at LSS Laine's Papeterie and Papermarket for 2 years now. I have had the honour of being on Webster's Pages DT for an amazing 3 years. I am also a DT for Angie Delarie, Ginger Scrapstreet Online Magazine and {create} challenge blog. I have some of my creations published in Somerset Memories, Scrapbooking Memories and Papercrafts Magazine.

As I ventured into teaching, I have gained so much invaluable experience and precious friends. I have conducted a few online classes for Scrap Heaven in the USA and I had an awesome opportunity to conduct a class in Japan, Osaka in 2010. I am so excited and thrilled that I have been invited to conduct a workshop in Papier this coming October 2011!!

As I come from Kedah, Malaysia, it has always been my wish to be able to meet up all of you lovely scrapbookers in Malaysia. I hope that through my work, I can spread the love and faith of scrapbooking. I am so looking forward to meet all of you :)

See you soon :)

Jaz Lee

NB: Jaz's projects will be posted every Thursday for 3 consecutive weeks starting this week. Jaz will be conducting a workshop at Papier this coming October 1st, 2011. Details will be posted soon or call the store for pre-registration. Seats are limited.

Selamat Berpuasa to all our Muslim friends!

Someone Precious Card

Basic Grey often comes up with nice, vintage lines and the Olivia collection is just as remarkable as the others. This week I'd like to share a card made using the Olivia -Florence Patterned Paper and Olivia Element Stickers. The element stickers are slightly vintage kiddyish but very nice when you layer them up or use them for a layout (or two!) or a mini album which I will share with you in later posts! :)

Without further ado, here's the card:
