Stamping with Acrylic Paint - Tutorial

Hello everyone, i'm back to share a simple tutorial. This technique is nothing new to some scrappers in fact it's made famous by Tim Holtz himself. If you've missed his You Tube and blog tutorial then pls read this post for my version of image tutorial. :)

I've done it in a few simple steps and of course i add my own style to my tags. Hope you will find it easy to follow and have a good week.

Card - You're Special

I'm smitten by a cardmaking bug...so here's another card this week. I used the last bits of the Webster's Pages papers  from my DT kit. I just love the journaling card that I can just fussy cut and use as my sentiment. Do you notice the handmade embellishment?

There's a story behind this bottle cap. I got it from the middle east, at a restaurant in the desert...Apparently they still serve soda drinks in the classic glass bottle with caps. I commanded my kids to collect as many bottle caps as they could ! I got excited and started to have visions on the ways to upcycle them. So here's one version..more to come. Hope  you like it :))

Have an awesome week !

Heart Shape Mini Album

I love my Mini Instax camera to bits. The credit card size photo fits this mini heart shape album perfectly. A lot of layerings of papers and embellishment. I enjoyed assembling this little mini as i can squeeze bit and pieces of my leftovers for a project like this.

If you have a balance from your previous scrapping projects please keep it aside in a box as you'll never know how handy and valuable they are in future. I have a box full of them and yes i might sneak in another mini album soon.

Thanks for dropping by today. Have a great week.

Material lists: Chipboard Mini Album, 6x6 Simple Stories Paper Pad, MM Glitter Embellishment, Sequins Waste, Lost & Found Brads Embellishment, Prima Flowers, Lost & Found Stickers and Old Book Pages.

Important Note: Members' Point Redemption

Hello all Papier members,

Due to a system upgrade in the last quarter of 2011, we have been unable to process the membership point redemptions.  However, thankfully that has been sorted out (phew!) and we thank you for your patience.

We are starting to make calls to you regards your Membership Point Redemptions.  As always, we do not issue physical vouchers anymore (hope to do our part for the trees), and therefore appreciate if you could check your point balances when you next visit the store.  The points can be redeemed on the spot, over the counter upon your next purchase.

Point redemption is as follows:
RM10 redemption value for every 1000 points.  The minimum redemption is RM10.

Redemption period is 1 May, 2012- 31 May 2012. T&C applies.

Any balance points not redeemed will be brought forward to the following year and remain valid with a valid membership.

We will try our best to call everyone, however, if and should we not reach you, please accept our apologies in advance and please do call us to enquire about your current point balance if you do not hear from us by end of April.  Kindly also update your contact information with us, to enable future communications regards in-store promotions.

Note: PCM memberships now carry a 2 year validity.  For point redemption of fees, a total of 300 points will be deducted for a 2-yr membership.  Otherwise, a fee of RM25 will apply.  New membership cards will be issued shortly and until then, your existing membership card still applies.  We urge that you present your membership cards prior to every purchase transaction to avoid any inconvenience and to enjoy all membership discounts & privileges

Thank you & Happy crafting as always!

Ahoy Me Maties!! Arrr.... - a scrapbook layout

Happy Wednesday! I'm back again with a new 12x12 layout. I like it how a layout is able to tell you a story by adding a bit of journalling that goes with the photo. I have used a calligraphy pen for the journalling and so here it is, presenting to you a letter from a pirate to his fellow mates for yet another battleship! Arrrrrr..... Hehehe!

As you can see, I have used quite a number of Martha Stewart as well as EK's punches on this layout..hehe...I have used The Crafter's Workshop stencil as well; sprayed the Ranger's Colour Wash through it and later stick back the side which was wet onto the layout- that means you won't be wasting your ink :))

This layout is about the pirate calling out to his mates for another battleship, and it is done by writing on what supposedly to be a piece of 'parchment'. The paper I have used here, which if from my April DT kit; has a 'Carte Postale' and other words like correspondence and addressee on it; thus making it suitable for this layout title. Most of the materials used here are available at Papier. Don't forget to stop by the shop and get yours!

Till then, see you next time!

materials used:

Ink: Distress ink and Colourwash by Ranger

Grungeboard paper: Tim Holtz

Punches: Martha Stewart and EK

Card with Envelobox

Happy Tuesday crafters! I taught a card making class last Saturday and had a blast. Towards the end of the class I was humming and singing away with my students. Hmm hope they dont mind Aunty Liza's pitchy voice here and there. I know  I'll get a bad review from Randy.
For today..I would like to share with you a card that I made using papers from Webster's Pages.

A bit of stitching..

And here is my favourite envelobox with a window ! I love giving surprises and creating something different than the usuals.

This envelope has a depth 1/4 inch. It's perfect for a card with raised flower or embellishments  like mine.

Have a great week ahead :)) Ciao..

Here's what came in over the weekend....
