A Little Birdie Told Me.. - a scrapbook layout

Hi there friends! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are in the best of health! To all the Muslim friends, Ramadhan Al-Mubarak! Hope you will stay healthy and fit throughout the fasting month.

Today, it's my turn to post and I'm sharing with you a 12x12 layout.

I have used 2 patterned papers from Webster's Pages - one of which I have used as a whole and the other, which I have used only the top part ( the little birdie told me), which I have added a cardboard to add dimension.

Most of the items I have used here are from my DT kit except for the dimensional paint, the distress inks, alcohol inks and the Calligraphy pen that I have used for the journalling. And, most of the items I have used here are available at Papier!

The techniques used here are pretty straightforward. I have distressed the edge of the papers and ink them before I collage them with the photo. I needed a deeper colours for the Dazzle Me Gems, which was originally screaming bright, so I have added on a bit of alcohol inks onto it. The colours are more subdued..hehe..

I have also used Hambly Screen Prints with the pennants design on it.

The flowers, well, I mix n match whatever I have from my kit and added on distress inks on a very white bloom. If you think that you have flowers ( especially white ) and doesn't blend well, why not try apply distress ink onto it until you get the desired colour. It works big time!

I have used my calligraphy pen for the journalling. I just love them. Since I don't really have a busy layout, I like to apply journalling to give my layout that extra mile. Try it sometime. ;)

Well I guess that's pretty much about it ;).

Thanks for visiting and do hop in to the store to get your latest supplies.

Remember This - mini journal with doodling technique!

Hola! Hi there! Don't you just love Wednesday?! We are half way through the week and weekend is just around the corner! Yayy!

Without further ado, here's a mini journal from me entitled ' Remember This'. It reminds me of a song titled 'As Time Goes By' by Louis Armstrong..and the lyrics goes something like this .."you must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss.." yeah? Lol!

Anyways, I have used a plain cardstock and patterned paper by Prima consecutively in this mini journal. If you think that your journal looks a lil'l bit too plain for your own liking, especially on the blank pages; let me suggest that you start doodling on it. You can doodle any designs or words on the edge of the paper. For example like the one below, where I have doodled a cute tiny flower attached to a wavy line. I have used a pen with fine tip here, just so that the doodling won't take the limelight away from the embellishments, which I have also added on the same page. In the end, the doodling that you have done will look as if you have some stamping on that page and the key to that is also that you need a steady hand.

If you are doodling words, you can also choose the words that are suitable for the theme of your journal or even mini album. Simple!

And for the page below, i have doodled the word ' keep cool '. And again, with the same continuous wavy line.

'Sunshine' - for the page below.

'Adore'

'Play'

'Laugh' and 'Smile'

'Wish'

'Trust' and 'Bliss'

And finally, that brings you to the last page. ;)

Oh yes, and i have also used a white ink pen on the black tag, which is secured with a leather string and tied around the ring binder.

Have fun with your doodling! Do share with us your creations and don't forget that a lot of the suppliesI have used here are available at Papier. Come and visit us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Things I Collect Layout

Hello everyone. You must be wondering what happen to me for the past month or so. I took a break to rest and it was a good one. I'm back and will be sharing more crafty ideas with all.

To start the month, here's a layout using Webster Pages Clean & Simple Pattern Papers. Love the Ephemera pack from K&Co. It makes it a whole lot easier to create this page. All i did was masking the background using distress ink and later stamp random image.

Next using Martha Stewart Puncher i punch out 3 butterfly from the based pattern paper. Layer Ephemera and add title. I'm done in less than 40 mins. I'll see you again in next posting.

Have a good week! :)))
