August Guest DT

This week our Auguest Guest Designer, Shamandeswari created an altered project for us at Papier! Isn't this lovely?

She was so kind-hearted to share with us how she created this stunning project!

In her own words:
Tutorial for melamine tray:
1) Layer the base of the tray with Patterned Paper (I used Sassafras Lass)
2) Affix picture of your choice & top it off with a frame screen print (Hambly Screen Print in this instance)
3) Stick a strip of lace along edge of tray
4) The Sassafras Lass PP comes with a border. Snip that off, measure according to the length of the tray, cut-off, distress & affix to the tray
5) Affix a strip of pom pom trim along the other length of the tray. (You may need to use 2 strips to give it a fuller look)
6) Mist another strip of lace with glimmer mists of your choice (I used candlelight in this project)
7) For the finishing touches, get one big Prima flower, 3 other flowers of a different make & Size x 2 (that would mean 6 flowers of 2 different size & make). Mist them, distress them & affix them
8) Lastly, stick the words FAMILY. I used a bigger font for the 'F' in family to accentuate the word & finally stick some rhinestones at the top of the frame for some bling ;)
