Wall Deco " Mama..You're Special and I Love You"

Hi crafters ! Here's a sneak peek of a very special project that I'm working on for a very special person in my life, my mother.

My mother used to be a working mom and I remember how I wished that mom could  have a few more days off from work just to be with us. I 'love' to be having fever or flu just because I knew then that she'll be home to attend to me and all the nonsense that I created to get her attention. LOL. She's actuallly the wind beneath my wings..always telling me that of course I could do this and that. In fact she's the one who taught me sewing..when I was 10 years old. I remembered that I offered my mom's "Jade Queen -Singer " sewing machine to my BFFs and surely few needles were broken. Sorry again ..mom. As I was away from home -  boarding school + college..I missed about 9 years being with her. After college was when I got a bit more time with mom..I could recall vividly the afternoons we spent sewing together...owhh those days were so precious to me. With a cup of tea and laughs..we sewed mittens, table cloth, baju kurung and so on. Thank you mama..for believing in me and I love you mountains :))

Okay..before I get sob..sob..and turn this post into a short story...Details on this project will be out soon. Do check with Papier Store if you wish to learn to make this for that special someone in your life. We'll be learning more on metal embossing and alcohol inks. I've chosen the latest papers by Webster's  Pages..I hope you will able to make that someone special SMILE !

Cherish The Moment Layout

Happy Monday everyone. Sharing a layout with lots of fussy cut and layering. I did this in a jiff, only about 40 mins to be exact, lol. Using only cardstock as a base, the pattern papers is from Simple Stories 6x6 Paper Pad. I add embellishment from Prima, Making Memories Metal Label and Tim Holtz Tissue Tape. That's about it.

Update on April classes is coming soon. I have a Canvas Mini Album for this month. Will share with you this week. Have a good day and take care.

Card incorporated with photo frame

Hello there!

My name is Peck Ching and blog name is Janetcraft.
I am delighted to be selected as DT Papier, starting in April'12.
I would like to thank Macy for having a great honor to make me be part of Papier DT.
I got to know firstly in cardmaking from a friend who bought and showed me the cardmaking magazine.
I was too fascinated and dashed to find out more about this. Lots of research have been done and of course spending some money really making things move...to get into this hobby!
Since then, I have been keen in making papercraft actively starting year 2008.
I have been sharing many of my projects where you can take a look in my blog

With my first contribution, I am making a project of a card with photo frame with measurement (6" x 6").
Now herego with my project;

Supplies: Hero arts stamp (Bicycle); Pattern paper; self handmade flowers; blink on flower; Spellbinder die cut heart and scallop heart; Marianne Design Die; Papertrey bloom die cut; MS border punchers; cardstock; ribbon; Copics; Distressed Ink.

At the right side of the window, I leave it empty for reservation in placing a small size photo (2' x 2.5').
As you see, I made 4 types of flowers - roses, daisy, hydreangea, bloom with blink.

I self cut the little hut with red felt heart and the bloom. About the little roses and hydrangea, I punch them and incorporate all into 3D flowers with copics colors.

Thanks for staying and reading. Happy Easter and have a good weekend!

Journal series

Happy Weddnesday everyone! Today I want to share a journal that I did using kraft paper. I tied up the whole pieces with just a leather string.

The edges of these papers were distressed using Ranger's distress inks. I have also added Viva Decor ink on few pages to give a bit of highlight.

Inside, I have placed cut-outs on words of wisdom with stamping as well as few chipboard stickers. I have purposely leave a lot of free space for journalling.

Come over to Papier to view more of the this simple journal. Most of the products I have used here are also available at Papier.

Materials used:

Kraft paper

Pp: Graphic 45

Book tab: Graphic 45

Embellishments: Tim Holtz Ideology ( Trinket pins, baubles and facets)

Chipboard stickers: Prima

Die-cuts: Kaisercraft

Ink: Ranger, Viva Decor

See you again next time. Ciao!

Layout - Mesmerising Cairo

Hi peeps,
Just a clean and simple layout from me this time. The papers from Webster's pages - Sunday Gathering explains it all. Less is more..however this is as less that I could do. LOL Believe me..my fingers were itching to splat some texture paste and medium on the LO but simplicity rules!

The picture also commands for no frills please..I just love the background showing the Great Salah ad-Din Citadel in Cairo, Egypt that was first built around 12th century..The architecture was simply breathtaking...

Have a great week ahead friends...XOX

Altered White Board Frame

Daiso has always been my favourite store for altered items. I can spend hours browsing and imagining the possibility of altering each and everything in that store! So much stuff and so cheap too! I got this white board from them and yes altering it is the best and fun way to go.

First i distress all four edges and then i painted the frame with Tattered Angel Glimmer Glam Paint. I hope you can see the glittering part on the photo. Next i sprayed some Goosebump Texture Spray in matte. Can you spot the wax looking bump on the side of the frame? that's the effect that i got when it dries up. Finally i embellish with Prima Flower, Dusty Attic Chipboard, Feathers, Hero Arts Bling, Tulle and mini bottle.

Thanks for dropping by today. Have a good week..:)

p/s: Tq Chris Lim for the beautiful photo..:)

xoxo,

Amelia
